BRONX WINS

I totally wanted to post the video Justin and I took of the thrilling last 2 minutes of the Bronx/Queens Championship bout, but I don't understand the YouTube/why the YouYube hates my Mac, so... Here's a blurry picture. The Gotham Girls Roller Derby may well be the greatest sports league ever. It was an unbelievably exciting game (I'm not just saying that because we were in the posh VIP seats for Justin's birthday)(WOOOOOO VIP!) and the last 10 minutes were unreal because it could've gone either way. But the Bronx won, 95-90, and I was super excited because many of the ladies who've won my heart during Skills Night are on the Bronx Gridlock. YAY GRIDLOCK!

And here we have the lovely Beyonslay's back, followed by the ridiculously photogenic Suzy Hotrod. I want to go on a sensitive, Lifetime Network sort of tangent and ramble endlessly about how awesome these ladies are: THESE LADIES ARE AWESOME. Sorry I took, like, a huge hiatus there, but the combination of derby awesomeness and the awesome humiliation of sucking during tryouts caused me to revert to a pre-verbal state of some sort. Oh, and my mom was visiting. Sorry.

Thanks for the derby endorsement! I dropped into say that I'm really happy that you tried out and want to encourage you to skate during the year and try out again. We really loved your energy and enthusiam and were impressed by how quickly you picked things up! I'm sorry that the experience was humiliating, but can relate.
